Image unfolding
Image unfolding, where 2D images are applied over complex 3D shapes and are then being converted into flat images, which when stitched together create 3D shapes with photo realistic picture textures. Examples where this technology has been used include, tents, balloons, blimps, airships, scale models, exhibition stands, product replicas, scenography elements and in architecture.
Production models, flat patterns
3D modeling and flat patterns. We also undertake special assignments in general 3D modeling and creation of flat unfolded patterns based on free form shaped 3D parts with complex forms.
Boat Design
Boat design, mainly smaller leisure and work boats, but also sailboats. In total, we have around 80 completed design projects with between 1000 and 2000 boats built.
The Lundstrom Design concept
Lundstrom Design's work is based on a proprietary design software, specializing in advanced freeform 3D shapes, surface extension and optimization of material nesting as well as advanced 3D application of images to complex freeform 3D shapes. A key concept in our work is to use the same 3D model for design, visualization, 3D renderings, augmented reality models, flat surface unfolds to cut out templates as well as digital plotting and cutting patterns, flat patterns with very high resolution image-based textures to create photorealistic physical 3D models and models for 3D printing.
