Lundström Design’s boat designs.

Boat design, mainly smaller leisure and work boats, but also sailboats. In total, around 80 realized design projects with between 1000 and 2000 boats built. Lundstrom Design is also the developer of a folding system for building boat hulls without using jigs or fixtures or internal frames during the building process. Advantages include surprisingly smooth and rounded shapes, fast assembly, extensive use on the skin of cross-reference marks that dramatically reduce the need for extensive manual cross-reference measuring during assembly.

”Golden Gate” Steamer

Aluminium steamer 9,1 x 2,85 m, Powered by a 3 cylinder steam engine. The hull was built using our folding system for maximum strength and rounded shape.

The Sjöjeepen line-up

The Sjöjeepen series first came into production in 1978 and consisted of models from 3.0 to 10.5 meters long, both as open boats with a steering console as well as boats with a cabin. The hull lineup consisted of 3.0, 3.8, 4.3, 4.8, 5.3, 5.8, 6.3, 6.8, 7.3, 7.8, 9.3 and 9.8 meter. The hulls where built with our folding system for maximum strength and rounded shape.

The Scorpio line-up

The Scorpio range consisted of models ranging from 4.4 to 5.4 meters in length, with both open console versions and cab versions. The hulls where built with our folding system for maximum strength and rounded shape.

Alert

Alma Blue 345

Alma Blue 345 was an aluminium sailboat 10.5 x 3.5 m, built at Landskronavarvet in southern Sweden. The hull was built using our folding system for maximum strength and rounded shape.

Shadow 801

Shadow 801 was an aluminium sailboat 8 x 2.6 m. The hull was built using our folding system for maximum strength and rounded shape.

Trucker 660 & 700

The Trucker was an aluminium lineup consisted of two models from 6.6 to 7.0 meters in length, with a walk around cabin. The hull was built using our folding system for maximum strength and rounded shape.

Three daysailers

Three experimental centerboard daysailers all 5.2 x 2.2 meters. One conventional plywood frame build, one a folding built stitch and glue plywood hull, and one welded aluminium folding built hull.

Various projects over the years. Emrik with folded aluminium hull. Henrika conventionally built 7 meter long plywood boat. Eight meter long front cabin aluminium work boat. Roddrik - a rowing boat originally folded stitch and glue plywood but also built as folded aluminium boat.
